N Seoul Tower sits on Namsan Mountain in the heart of Seoul and is one of those places that earns its reputation the moment you arrive. Skip the gondola and walk up instead - it takes roughly an hour with a proper climb, stairs included, and the effort is part of the experience. Once you reach the top, Seoul reveals itself in a way that is hard to prepare for. The city stretches in every direction without an end in sight. I stayed for the sunset and watched the skyline shift from golden to deep orange over one of the largest cities in the world.
